The widespread use of vacuum tubes in experimental physics has served as a source of development of a new field - radio engineering of physical laboratories. This area of experimental technique is unusually rich in the variety of specific applications of vacuum tubes. The abundance of special schemes and the continuous appearance of new ones makes it hopeless to try to cover them in any detail.
