The book is devoted to the analysis of the mentality of former Soviet citizens who turned out to be the will of fate in post-war Europe in camps for displaced persons in the American zone of occupation. Particular attention is paid to the history of the creation of the Russian Research Center and surveys conducted by Harvard University in 1950-1951, mainly in Germany. The annexes contain questionnaires and questionnaires containing information on the functioning of the Soviet system.
