The textbook gives the basics of the technology of arc, electroslag, contact and gas welding, oxygen and electric arc cutting; peculiarities of welding technology of alloyed steels, non-ferrous metals and their alloys, cast iron, plastics, as well as methods and modes of pipeline welding. In the 4th edition, changes have been made regarding equipment and materials, the description of resistance welding machines has been expanded; the chapter "Surfacing works" was introduced.
