The main topic of the collection of articles by Russian and foreign orientalists is the study of issues of regional development of China, Japan, North and South Korea, Vietnam and their cooperation with Russia in the main areas: politics, economy, history, culture and society, as well as an analysis of practical opportunities to improve relations between Russia and East Asian countries in the near and long term. The interaction of multilateral regional institutions in East Asia, issues of socio-economic development of China and the countries of the region were analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the study of challenges and new potential threats to international cooperation in the era of coronavirus; economic aspects of the development of China, Japan and the Korean Peninsula. A separate block of articles is devoted to issues of historical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the states of East Asia.
