The book of the famous American scientist Firuz Kazemzade is devoted to the history of the clash of strategic interests of world powers in the Caucasus, the formation of independent states - Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia - and their loss of sovereignty at the beginning of the 20th century. It is very noteworthy that the book published back in 1951 did not lose its relevance due to the fact that on the threshold of the third millennium a new cycle of rivalry between geopolitical actors for the Central Caucasus began.
