Based on a generalization of domestic and foreign experience, the book covers the design of school buildings for 920-960 and more student places. These schools more fully satisfy the architectural, urban planning and economic requirements and provide an opportunity to resolve the issues of organizing the educational process in a new way in the light of the law "On strengthening the connection of schools with life and on the further development of the public education system in the USSR" and a number of party and government decrees related to measures to improving school affairs. Specific conditions for the construction of large-capacity school buildings are being considered. Considerable attention is paid to the architectural and planning solution of their component elements.
