You can trace the development of Japanese architecture over thirteen centuries, starting from the 7th century. to the present day. On this path, one can observe a rich variety of its forms: then, with amazing art and independence, the techniques and style of wooden architecture of the only dwellings of this kind are developed in architecture, garden and residential ensembles, then it falls under the influence of China, then under the influence of Europe it develops techniques for buildings made of stone and brick - first fortifications, then dwellings - in order to become a branch of European-American architecture in the era of capitalism. To single out a new, characteristic, which is the contribution of Japanese art to the treasury of world architecture, to the world experience of architectural forms - this is the main task of this album, the first attempt in Russian to give an outline of the history of Japanese architecture.
