The book is devoted to the analysis of the New Testament - a collection of 27 early Christian works, which still form the basis of the ideology and creed of Christianity. Its seven chapters contain extensive cognitive material, critically meaningful from the standpoint of modern scientific knowledge. The cardinal questions of the composition of the New Testament, its historical and literary origins, social and religious and philosophical ideas are presented in an accessible, but not simplified manner. At the same time, the reader, as it were, is introduced into the researcher's laboratory and, getting acquainted with various problems, turns out to be, to a certain extent, the participant in the analysis himself.
