Individual study of certain forms of protest directed against war, government and existing army life, when compared with documents of a generalizing nature (reports of the police department, military censorship headquarters, leading orders for armies, corps, etc., military statistical materials, etc.) allowed the authors of this work to present a very clear picture of the state of the Russian army on the eve of the February revolution.
