"The philosophical system of Samkhya is one of the oldest and most original directions of philosophical thought in India. Its origins date back to the period of the Shraman "fermentation of minds" (from the turn of the VI-V centuries BC. e.), and one of her preachers, Arada Kalama, was among the first tutors of the Buddha. In antiquity (up to the Early Gupta period inclusive), the philosophical schools of Samkhya put forward entire groups of theorists and at the same time provide ideological models of Raja Yoga and the main Hindu movements - within the framework of Vishnuism, Shaivism and Tantrism.
