Six species of flamingos are known in the world. They live mainly in tropical and subtropical areas of Central and South America, Africa and Asia. The most beautiful flamingo with orange-red plumage is a resident of the Caribbean islands. Tropical flamingo species live settled, but the most common and therefore the most famous species - the common flamingo partially belongs to migratory birds, annually flying away from nesting sites for wintering, making long flights.
