The book contains an overview in the field of particle physics over the past 10-20 years (at the time of publication). It has, as it were, two layers: professional and scientifically popular. It is equipped with a dictionary (which explains the meaning of about 100 terms) and a list of articles published after 1975 (again at the time of publication) in the main domestic and foreign popular science and review journals, which are devoted to various issues of high-energy physics, astrophysics and cosmology.
