The textbook consistently sets out the basics of fundamental astronomy. The mathematical apparatus for interpretation and analysis of astrometric observations recommended by the International Astronomical Union (MAC) is formulated. The textbook can be used as a reference book of optical and radio observations reduction formulas recommended by MAC and the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IRSS).
