In our educational literature there are no special books devoted to the elementary solution of problems to find the largest and smallest values ​ ​ of a variable value (except for Belyaev's books published in 1876-1882). The purpose of this collection is to fill this gap and give the teacher, an inquisitive high school student, a technical school student more interesting material for exercises and applications of the studied theorems.
