New recommendations on a number of problems of pediatric cardiology, created by a large team of cardiologists, are timely, extremely relevant and of great practical importance. The relevance and practical significance of these recommendations are determined by the growth of cardiovascular diseases in childhood, a wide range of nosological units with etiological diversity, the lack of clear diagnostic criteria in children of different age groups, the emergence of new modern methods of laboratory and instrumental diagnostics, the lack of a single algorithm of therapeutic measures, despite the large number of drugs available in the doctor's arsenal, as well as poor knowledge of pediatric cardiology issues by pediatricians of a practical level.
