The book summarizes many years of theoretical and experimental research by the author on the problem of mathematical abilities of schoolchildren. In Soviet psychological literature, this is the first experience of a monographic presentation of the mathematical abilities of schoolchildren. It sets out questions of the essence of the mathematical abilities of schoolchildren, the age dynamics of their development, as well as some typology issues.
