The story "The Great Typhoon" features the main characters of the first two books by Pavel Sychev "At the Pacific Ocean" and "The Ocean is Noisy." Being their continuation, "The Great Typhoon" at the same time is an independent work on the beginning of the civil war and foreign intervention in the Far East.
