The book tells about little-known and most striking pages from the history of Zheleznogorsk, Dmitrovsky and Kromsky districts related to the expression of social protest of the masses, the manifestation of a "rebellious spirit" during wars and revolutions, and also touches on the rampant banditry at the beginning of the twentieth century.
