Anatoly Romov is the author of the novels "Hokuman Hotel," "Air," "Prize," the novels "Footprints in the Void," "Cloud Thieves" of the sci-fi story "Blue Xill," as well as the story "Customs Inspection," based on which the film studio "Lenfilm" shot a three-part television feature film "Necklace Charlotte." The novels "Under Unclear Circumstances" and "Customs Inspection" have been translated into a number of foreign languages ​ ​ and published abroad. For the story "Under Unclear Circumstances" included in this collection, the author was awarded the annual literary prize of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs and the USSR JV.
