The book is the second volume of M. A. Bulgakov's Theatrical Heritage. It contains completed dramatic works written in the 1930s: "Cabal of the Holy," "Adam and Eve," "Bliss," "Ivan Vasilyevich," "Alexander Pushkin," "Batum." Of particular interest is the section where other editions and versions of these plays are published. The apparatus of the book includes a detailed historical, literary, theatrical and textual commentary. The book is illustrated with photographs from the Archive of M. A. Bulgakov and scenes from performances of the 1930s.
