February 25, 1966 in many countries of the world solemnly celebrated the 125th anniversary of the birth of the remarkable French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). Fate was favorable to him. The impoverished unsettled youth, the harsh trials of mature years, was finally replaced by Renoir's calm, peaceful old age.
