In the spring of 1957, Polish archaeologists led by Professor Kazimierz Michalowski excavated Atribis, one of the largest cities in ancient Egypt. The reporter of the Polish radio Zofia Jerzewska took part in the work of this expedition. Upon returning to her homeland, she wrote a book, the translation of which is offered to readers.
