Chukotka, Yamal and the Kola Peninsula are three hotbeds of Arctic nomadism. The album book presents episodes of the nomadic life of the Chukchi, Nenets, Sami and Komi-Izhemians, whose cultures have flexible adaptability to environmental and social influences and technical innovation. The observations combine three views - the northern nomads themselves, researchers, ethnographers and designers - in order to search and test a new conceptual approach to the heritage and technologies of the indigenous northerners.
