"On Kapsal, not far from the cell of St. Basil, there is a famous koliba, i.e. kelia without a church, in which he transmitted a fasting life, for more than fifty years, a great and famous learned husband, a glorious teacher and co-founder, the great elder schema-monk Nikodim Svyatogorets, who died to the Lord around 1819. He composed and wrote about thirty books.
