Features of the study of the World Ocean from manned spacecraft and orbital stations were considered, the problems of sectoral and intersectoral processing of satellite video information using analog and digital complexes were discussed, numerous images of the ocean and atmosphere obtained from domestic Salyut orbital stations were analyzed.
