The monograph is devoted to the study of contemporary ethnic and religious conflicts in a number of important regions of the world (Europe, Canada, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, India). It analyzes four types of different conflicts: spontaneous conflicts, pogroms, characterized by transience, weak organization and increased emotionality of the participants; latent conflicts within the political process; open armed conflicts; religious conflicts, which are usually described as a "clash of civilizations."
