The healer contains information about what domestic herbal remedies the Russian people were treated with in the 18th century. The book contains recipes for many diseases, including epidemics (plague and anthrax). Most of the recipes are now forgotten. In addition, means are indicated how to enchant loved ones, restore marital happiness, protect themselves from ill-wishers and evil spirits. The "clinic" is equipped with a "Commentary," which contains modern names of plants, legends about them, indicated growth areas, healing properties, use in everyday life and in folk rites. The book is illustrated with photographs from the manuscript being published.
