The book presents current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of various pericardial diseases. The tactics of managing patients with the main forms of pericardial damage are considered in the most detail, while not only conservative, but also surgical methods of treating such diseases are fully reflected. Particular attention is paid to the treatment and prevention of life-threatening conditions associated with the development of cardiac tamponade.
