The collective monograph is devoted to the ethnic history, traditional culture and language of the Albanians of Ukraine - the descendants of the colonists who moved from the Balkan Peninsula to the territory of the Russian Empire at the beginning of the 19th century. Initially, the ancestors of the current Albanians of Budzhak and Priazovye lived in the southeastern regions of present-day Albania, from where they were forced to go east by the oppression imposed by Ottoman officials.
