The works of the American mathematician V. Vasov are already known to the Soviet reader (Vazov V., Forsyth D., Differential methods for solving partial differential equations, IL, 1963). His present book is devoted to asymptotic decomposition methods for ordinary differential equations. These cetodes can be used in many problems of mechanics, electronics, astrophysics, etc.
