History of the design, construction and service of the cruiser "Bogatyr." This ship was designed by the German company Vulcan on the instructions of the Marine Technical Committee as part of the shipbuilding program "For the Needs of the Long East" to be built at the plant of this company in Stettin. According to the drawings of the Bogatyr, three more cruisers were built in St. Petersburg and Nikolaev. The cruiser "Bogatyr" took an active part in the Russo-Japanese and First World Wars.
