Review and analysis of studies on the use of active and passive methods of protecting buildings and structures from the impact of new construction of underground facilities, the results of field and numerical experiments are presented, which made it possible to form a data bank on the sediments of the surrounding buildings in the absence and application of protective measures. Methods for predicting the settlement of buildings in the zone of influence of underground construction have been developed, providing for the technological component of the settlement. Recommendations are given on the use of active and passive protective measures for existing objects, including historical, architectural and cultural monuments.
