Marshal of the Soviet Union N.I. Krylov in the first years of World War II headed the headquarters of the armies defending the hero cities of Odessa, Sevastopol and Stalingrad. This book is notes by the chief of staff of the Separate Primorsky Army on the defense of Odessa in August-October 1941. It is dedicated to a relatively small section of the front, which, however, played an important role in disrupting the plans of the fascist invaders.
