The book is dedicated to fish living in the coastal zone of the Crimean peninsula in the Black and Azov Seas. The history of the study of marine ichthyofauna is considered, the process of its formation in connection with the turbulent geological past of the region is analyzed. Descriptions of 116 species of fish are given, including characteristic features of the species, its distribution, biology, ecology, commercial and food significance, conservation status, as well as author's photographs of most species.
