The collection "Culture and Art of India and the Countries of the Far East" offered to the reader is compiled by the Department of the East of the State Hermitage Museum. The articles included in the collection are varied in subject and look at different aspects of the culture of the countries of the Far East and India in different historical periods. At the same time, its thematic focus is associated with the study of issues that have become traditional for the Hermitage orientalists. The scientific work of the Department of the East is based on the study and publication of monuments stored in the Hermitage.
