The monograph is devoted to the life and work of Alexander Haig (1924-2010) - one of the most significant representatives of the highest state bureaucracy of the modern United States of America, who passed all stages of a military, business and state career and reached in 1981 one of the highest posts in the American state - the post of US Secretary of State. The book is based on a wide range of new documentary sources and literature collected by the author during a scientific trip to the United States in 1997-1998.
