The more merciless the author outlines the ugliness of people, the more disgusting their actions arising from their life and position, the more crushed they are, the more ferocious the punishment that overthrows them and makes them protest, the stronger the belief in the possibility of an outcome sounds in the depths and the louder the beating of the heart is heard, full of sympathy for the suffering people. Serafimovich lived to see the socialist revolution, he recognized it, he came to it. That is why his later works are illuminated by the sun of the revolution. The reflection of this sun magnificently and richly lay down all the way of Serafimovich, passed by him a heavy and measured step. All those literary monuments that Serafimovich built along this path will forever remain in Russian literature and, more importantly, in proletarian literature.
