The monograph describes mental retardation, other psychopathological syndromes, as well as somatoneurological disorders in various hereditary diseases, monogenic defects, chromosomal diseases and syndromes with an unclear type of inheritance. General information on the role of hereditary factors in the genesis of mental retardation is summarized.
