This book consists of interviews with scientists prepared over the past twenty years. All these texts were published at different times in the Nezavisimaya Gazeta. However, in preparing this publication, all interviews were re-edited, corrected and supplemented. As a result, it turned out to be a significantly more complete version of conversations with scientists compared to those that were published in the media. In fact, these are new independent texts equipped with newly written author's prefaces.
