Liberal science has become the most effective way of studying the world invented by man. Thanks to strict ethics, science has managed to streamline the process of accumulating and testing knowledge. One serious threat to scientific search is authoritarian regimes that broadcast their understanding of truth and suppress any dissent. But the public mainstream also took up arms against the supremacy of science. The struggle with wounded words, the hurt feelings of "professional insulters," the dictates of minorities, literally understood philanthropy - these are powerful forces of the new reality, claiming power and influence. However, it must be remembered that "it hurts to create knowledge - for the same reason that it can be so exciting. Knowledge does not go to us for free, we must suffer for it." Only by protecting free science from these threats can one count on the further development of thought.
