The textbook provides a classification of water barriers, shows the purpose and characteristics of ferry landing and bridge construction equipment, engineering equipment for crossings of water barriers, engineering reconnaissance of a water barrier in order to select a crossing point, and reconnaissance means used in this case. The scientific and methodological methods of the manual are based on a combination of simplicity and accessibility of the presentation of the material with illustrations and diagrams that contribute to a better assimilation and memorization of the material of the manual. The textbook is intended for students of civilian universities, cadets of higher and secondary military educational institutions of the Ground Forces to improve knowledge in the discipline "Crossings."
