The collection for the first time in Russian publishes the works of the largest foreign Arabists - historians and literary scholars, such as F. Gabrieli, G. E. von Grunebaum, J. T. Monrow, S. Pella, R. Blasher, F. Rosenthal, L. Masignon, V. Kaskel. The articles included in the book are devoted to both general theoretical and private problems of Arab culture and literature in the Middle Ages.
