A chess match between master Botvinnik and Czechoslovak grandmaster Flor not only stirred up the broad masses of the Soviet public, but also attracted attention in almost all countries of Western Europe. Releasing now a collection of match games commented by M.M. Botvinnik, we consider it useful to restore in the reader's memory certain stages of this our struggle for quality, to highlight certain points in the implementation of the tasks set when organizing the match.
