The second volume of Miller's History of Siberia, offered to the reader, is a reprint of a work published in 1941 and which has long become a bibliographic rarity, especially since the bulk of its circulation died during the siege of Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War, literally on the eve of which it went out of print. In addition to the text of the "History of Siberia," the volume includes 485 letters, which formed the basis for writing chapters. These documents contain the most important data on the development of Siberia by Russians: the construction of cities, prison, settlements, monasteries, churches, as well as valuable information about the peoples of Siberia, about the relations of the Russian state with the Siberian peoples and neighboring states.
