Submedial space should remain a vague space of suspicion for us. guesses, fears - but also unexpected discoveries and involuntary insights. Behind the iconic surface of public archives and media, we inevitably assume manipulation, conspiracies and intrigues. We, as viewers dealing with the medial surface, hope that the dark, hidden, submedial space will someday reveal itself. Voluntary or forced frankness of the submedial space is what awaits the viewer of the medial surface. We are talking about another truth of signs, which is not the result of the relationship of signs to the objects they designate: this is not the truth of signification, but the truth of mediality.
