The collection of classic adventure literature by R. L. Stevenson includes several works: "The Strange Story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" translated by E. M. Chistyakova-Ware, "Suicide Club" and "Diamond Raji" translated by E. N. Kiselev, as well as "The Misadventures of John Nicholson: A Christmas Story" translated by R.V. Grishchenkov. At the end of the publication, twenty short philosophical fairy tales-parables are translated by S. Yu. Afonkin. The collection is decorated with drawings by E. Sullivan, C. McAuley, G. Miller, W. Hennessy. Illustrations for the parables of E.R. German in the Art Nouveau style were made in 1914 for publication with a circulation of only 105 copies.
