Information on general and special purpose cranes and their application is given. Structural diagrams of bridge, gantry and cantilever cranes, their mechanical and electrical equipment are considered. Crane runway devices are described. Particular attention is paid to the organization of loading and unloading operations, the operation of cranes and labor protection when working on them.
