Youth... It was alarming, like a gust of wind that hit the hinged wing of a sail. This book is dedicated to youth - the difficult youth of the generation to which I have the honor to belong. It was a harsh time of sacrifice then and we were willing to sacrifice. Many of us then stepped on the decks of warships. This story is made up of genuine events. But the names of the heroes, like the names of some ships, I deliberately changed. And possible coincidences are pure chance. I deliberately simplified the technical and special terms so as not to tire my reader.
