The 2nd edition (1st edition issued in 1960) contains information on the production of castings from alloys of heavy non-ferrous metals, significantly revised and expanded sections: "Melting furnaces," "Alloy production," etc. Main defects of castings from copper alloys, causes of their formation and methods of their prevention and elimination are described. Examples of molding of various castings are given, foreign standards for casting alloys of heavy non-ferrous metals are given.
