The textbook offered to the reader reflects many years of experience in teaching the Fundamentals of Physical Electronics course to 2nd year students of the Faculty of Informatics and Management of Moscow State Technical University named after N.O. Bauman. We are talking about "solid-state," i.e. "semiconductor" electronics, the understanding of the foundations of which requires knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum statistics, as well as the zone theory of a crystalline solid.
